Coaches, Referees and Officials

As a BJA registered coach, referee or official you receive the benefit of Personal Accident and Sport, Recreation and Leisure Liability to protect you whilst participating in our sport.

What is Personal Accident cover?

Personal Accident insurance provides payments to you if you are under 80 years old and are injured whilst taking part in a recognised judo activity anywhere in the world.

The cover is 'no fault' which means that they will receive the appropriate payment regardless of the cause of the accident.

What is Sport, Recreation and Leisure Liability Insurance?

This policy covers the cost of defending yourself against a claim if you are responsible for loss, damage or injury to someone else or their property.

Cover includes the professional advice you provide whilst coaching any BJA recognised activity, provided that the activity falls within the remit of your BJA approved training or qualifications.

Cover is provided up to a maximum of £20m and will protect you worldwide if you travel abroad on a trip agreed and approved by BJA.
